I got money for Synplant 2 for a birthday present. ❤️❤️
What's cool about Synplant 2 is that it does what AI is supposed to do in a musical sense: make sound design local and very easy without using external Suno-type applications.
Also it runs great with Wine and yabridgectl
The Genopatch basically reads a short wave file / musical sample and tries to replicate it into a json-type preset file that can be tweaked. It doesn't replicate a lot of sounds perfectly which is where the human touch comes in. From there, a producer can tweak the preset or make a completely new sound on their own.
I also put on the Phenotype script. It does a mediocre job of creating a sound based on a prompt (it's local javascript under the hood), and pretty much gives template-ish sounds to tweak. Basic prompty patches sound like chiptune sounds and the small "LLM model" isn't very advanced but it does automate basic wave, filter, and amp ASDR tasks. Fun stuff!
EDIT: For some reason, the image comes up as hidden media. I'm not sure why.
