The Times Of India continues its assault on its readers’ senses by featuring an advertisement for Daawat that *smells like Biriyani* – it’s cute at first, but then the house starts smelling like stale Biriyani. 🤢🤮

While I've been tied up in front of me computer this week, partner cooked up a fair bit to get us and others through a few days.

This place smells amazing (it did right from the start - with heady aromatics in hot ghee)

Most fine Saturday #Lunch along with carrot raita (see 👆🏽 prev) and a bit of raw red onion & chili "raita" (not as runny as typical)

Mangsho (Bengali) = meat; in this case - lamb

Slight difference in prep/method, much less greasy but essentially #biriyani

Partner make a big batch of lamb #biriyani (from marinated frozen batch of lamb, thawed to cook up).
Big batch so Kid1 in college can get a bit of a delivery to help ease the week.
Cooling some down now to pack.
This whole place smells incredible! Glad (somewhat) we've had dinner and I'm full or this would be hard to take.

Cooked #Keto #Beef #Biriyani today. First time cooking something this complex and time consuming. It took 3 hours to cook. It came out pretty decent for a first try. Rice is substituted with cauliflower cut into the size of rice.
