Since "Tea Cosy" Mother Quail was such a success with visitors to this page, I thought you might like to see a small video of a quail who gained a bit of fame by nesting under a lawnmower a couple of years ago in Arizona. In it, you will see her and her four peeping chicks. 🤎 🤍 🖤
The video was originally published by the Arizona Game & Fish Department, and the lawnmower belonged to Jason and Kimberly Garde. When the couple discovered the nest, they decided that the bird had the right of way; that there was no question the lawnmower would stay put and unused so the quail could safely hatch out her eggs and the chicks could fledge.
