That's quite the tonal shift.

Current status: trying to decide if #BirdieWing is too ridiculous or not.
It doesn't have the style/mystery of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, nor is it much of a comedy, & the art/animation/plotting is meh; so “pretty girls over-the-top golfing” is (so far) the sole selling point.
I will say that the English subtitle translators are 110% in on the gay subtext / lewd-sounding golf terminology. Like. A whole lot. So I might keep watching just to see how many double entendres I can count 🤣

Ah to be a high school girl in love with another girl and both of you are freaking amazing golfers. I never expected myself go get into Bridie Wing, but thanks to @chibibuizel I've been watching an episode a week for a while now and it's a dang fun show. Also the opening is a damn banger!

Other shows that didn’t make the list since it’s not complete (split cour):
Birdie Wing; I do really like how absurd the mafia golfing plot was, but probably not as crazy compared to Akiba Maid Sensou. Golf was solid though.
Tokyo Mew Mew New: While I haven’t watched the original, but the reboot is solid. I do like Retasu’s new design. Minto’s and Zakuro pairing is still in tact, but Quiche is a bit of a creep, a part I don’t like about him, although he is a villan. -
#anime I put off watching #Hyaikuu because I did not think a sports-themed anime would be my thing. But having enjoyed #Birdiewing (golf), I tried #SalarymansClub (badminton), and as much as that one was rather thin, I still enjoyed it enuf to watch the whole thing. So given the hype around Hyaikuu I figured I'd give it a go.
I'm going to say it deserves the hype. I banged through all 4 seasons and found myself thinking about all the various storylines and developments a LOT.
