I had just got the weekly local newspaper from the mailbox, so I used some sheets to pick up and cradle the bird (it still felt warm, through the paper and my gloves) and carried it into the woods, where I found a place at the base of Grandmother Spruce and covered it lightly with spruce branches. His spirit drums on! #reverence #LoveOfNature #BirdGoddess #animism
