I was trying to find an explanation for why a Swainson's hawk mother would bring fresh twigs with leaves (and what species it would be) to a nest when the babies are just days away from fledging.

in this large lek of 15+ males, i did see some buddy system going on with 2s & 3s often dancing in the same tree + i also saw 5 males in 1 tree displaying together
with the heavy forest, i struggled quite a bit just to show 2 of them together unobstructed...
