  2. This year, I enhanced my #EDI journey in several ways on top of my #livedexperience as someone from the #BIPGM community

    - certificates in EDI in the workplace, racial discrimination & human rights, and #Indigenous #reconciliation education
    - webcaster #GlobalConvwrsations
    - 2 guest lectures, 2 podcasts, 1 keynote on a webinar, guest speaker at my workplace
    - consulting projects

  3. The differences between a #coach, #mentor or #sponsor. More leaders need to sponsor #BIPGM talent whether they're in the room or outside of the room. Career coaches are a dime-a-dozen. Mentoring has its limitations because they will only advise what a person should do. As a master networker and connector, I only want sponsors at this stage of my career. Also, I will mentor and advise those who request it, but would rather sponsor talent!

  4. In 2014, I wrote an article that crowned the phrase #craftbeerurbanism. @globalnews took me off as author because someone was insecure and complained about me. Anyway it's my article. I hosted an event in #Toronto to discuss this concept. globalnews.ca/news/1062811/cra

So nearly 9 years later, I'm going to revisit this and do a spinoff for #GlobalConversations. I can't wait to have this conversation with the #BIPGM business owners.

  6. @zhivi It's not BUT other communities. It is AND. I speak of and protect my Black brothers and sisters everywhere I go. But we must speak loudly about our marginalized communities. Everyone is #intersectional and we must include their unique experiences. I speak of the #globalmajority #raceisasocialconstruct #BIPGM #class #caste

  7. Let's have a conversation. Why are some people still referring racialized people as visible or racial minorities and BIPOC? Falling in line with white supremacy? #BIPGM

  8. Initial #TTC #TOcouncil reactions: ugh Holyday. McKelvie will do whatever Tory wants, just like DMW in the past. LOVE the strong representation for #BIPGM (aka BIPOC, google it!).

    Three budget+policy predictions:

    1. Upcoming ops budget cuts will get a fight from 1 #Etobicoke & 2 #Scarborough cllrs.

    2. Capital budget will be drained to support a costly Line 4 Sheppard extension and a costly Line 2 Sherway extension.

    3. Zero new transit priority corridors for streetcars this term.

    Hmmm.
