@RettetdenRegenwald Es ist für mich übrigens auch kaum zu fassen, dass es immer noch Menschen gibt, die ernsthaft glauben, sie täten etwas Gutes, indem sie #E10 tanken - eine der größten Mogelpackungen, seit es Verbrenner-Kraftstoffe gibt.

Wie ich aus einem Newsletter des Europaabgeordneten Gieseke erfahre, wird die „Öffnung“ für den „Biokraftstoff“ E20 auf Vorschlag der EU-Kommission „ermöglicht“. Der sogenannte „Biosprit“ enthät 20% Beimischung von Bioethanol aus pflanzlichen Rohstoffen. Dadurch soll der Spritpreis „spürbar“ gesenkt werden. Mit der Einführung solcher Krafstoffe will man den Einsatz fossile Krafststoffe weiter rechtfertigen.

Produktion von #Bioethanol ohne Flächenkonflikte mit der #Landwirtschaft?

Normalerweise steht die Produktion von #Biomasse für Kraftstoffe im Konflikt zur #Nahrungsmittelproduktion.

Es gibt aber Ausnahmen. In #Vietnam pflanzen wir Cassava auf ehemaligen Tagebauflächen. Diese Flächen sind aufgrund von #Altlasten für den Anbau von Lebensmitteln ungeeignet.

Wir erreichen hier 40% des konventionellen Ertrages und sorgen somit für die #Rekultivierung und Nutzung marginaler Flächen.
