Again very comprehensive and fun to read without losing to much depth and enough to follow up on if you want to.

Finally finished this fantastic book.
Very comprehensive without compromising in the depth of information given. The appendix is also really good with lots to follow up.
Sadly Karen Bakker passed away in 2023.
One of the few publications about #bioacoustic that has also been translated into German.
If you are interested in this field this would be a good starting point.

Going deeper into madness.

Bought my first pure #birdsong records lately.

This one is a blast and the story behind is quite interesting. It was recorded by Dr. Michael Schubert (the right hand of Günther Tembrock) in Mongolia in the 1970s.

Would be intersting do to a segment/ talk with people from the former GDR who have been into bioacoustics/ field recording.

^^ This one gives a good overview on the topic of bioacoustics and the current state (2023) of the topic. Good to read and with a lot of adittional litarature in the book to follow up if you are more interested. Sadly the author passed away.

Since I finally switched to another instance here is my #introduction to the new beginning.

I am an acoustical engineer and field recordist. My main interest now is #bioacoustic #ecoacoustic and #fieldrecording.

Have been realy happy with the community and resources I found here over time.

One of the best things was probably learning about #faircamp and creating my own site. (thanks to @freebliss )
