That is indeed the case. #RStudio is an excellent product that makes things easier, especially if you start with R stats. However, at conferences and other occasions (e.g., my lectures), I observe that people think R == RStudio.
In my LinkedIn post, I also mentioned the R GUI/IDE comparisons that Rob Muenchen does (https://www.r-bloggers.com/2022/01/a-comparative-review-of-the-r-instat-gui-for-r/). There are so many GUIs out there. For example, have you ever heard about #Bio7 (https://doi.org/10.18637/jss.v049.i04)? All these tools are not really promoted.

@drdrowland @joel This is in part correct. One of the #ide|s is #RStudio aka #Posit. However, you can chose others, as there are many more like #RKWard (rkward.kde.org/), #TinnR (https://sourceforge.net/projects/tinn-r/), #Rattle (https://rattle.togaware.com/), #BlueSkyStatistics (https://www.blueskystatistics.com/Default.asp) or #Bio7 (https://bio7.org/r-debugging-gui-improvements-for-bio7/). Just search for "R IDE GUI".

My personal preference is RKWard (I am a bit biased).
