    kinda #solarPunk offTopic:
    > "Whats punk in starting a garden?"

#guerillaGardening is the society hacker down to earth approach of reclaiming our common space for our community in the here and now. It's the radical in your face living graffiti promoted initially by #BillMollison in his #permaCulture approach for an envisionable future.

You don't need a Mohawk to do that or to live solarPunk while writing a chapter of the story.

Sometimes the chapter is real, sometimes it branches of in the middle of the crossing, taking a turn to the left like the @bitpickup does every once in a while ..

  2. Your nursery could be one of them.

Starting a small, local plant nursery might seem humble — but it’s one of the most powerful acts of regeneration you can make.

If you’ve ever dreamed of making a living growing plants, this is your sign.

  3. > I'm looking for [to] improve my English again.

Well @carikrp, perhaps one of the options is to post a #fediHelp request asking people from the English speaking #fediVerse that are interest in things that you are interested in, like #nature and #architecture to follow you, so you can follow them too and get more English content into your stream.

Of course you can also follow related English hashtags and maybe #permaCulture as it is to a certain extent related to #Ambientalismo 🌱🦋 and
    #Arquitectura 👷🏼‍♀️.

  4. "Permaculture and the Revolution of Resilience"

How do permaculture, spirituality, and resilience intersect to create sustainable communities? Can these principles guide a shift toward regenerative and inclusive practices?

  5. 1/ #BillMollison, from The #Permaculture Designers Manual (1988): DESIGN
    PHILOSOPHY Chapter One.
"Although this book is about #design, it is also about values & #ethics, & above all about a sense of
personal responsibility for earth care. I have written at
times in the first person, to indicate that it is not a
detached, impersonal, or even unbiased document
Every book or publication has an author, and what that author chooses to write about is subjective, for that person alone determines the subject, content, & the values expressed or omitted. I am not detached from,
but have been passionately involved with this earth,
& so herein give a brief vision of what I think can be
    achieved by anyone."

Do they have to use clean water in datacentres? Could they be built as water purification plants, with the heat from the servers used to drive the purification process?

Or, how about running water though the datacentre cooling system, then into the heating system of a neighbouring operation? Say a hotel, or dairy factory. Whatever is nearby and uses a lot of hot water.

As #BillMollison said, the problem is the solution.

  7. @video

It's from the "Global Gardener" series by #BillMollison from the '90s.
You find the rest on YT.
One chapter is "urban" and the part you saw just one "snippet".

"Global Gardener" is one of two TV programs by Mollison promoting #permaculture.

    The other program is:
"In grave danger of falling food"

  8. 'Encouraging creative theft'.
Would this work in USAnian cities? Certainly in some neighborhoods.

    > What’s a worrying trend is that housing is getting bigger while land and the spaces around the home are getting smaller and being covered by paving and concrete so no trees are planted.

  11. @solarbear There was a documentary featuring the late #BillMollison (godfather of #solarpunk) which includes a section on applying #permaculture design to apartments. I think it was either 'In Grave Danger of Falling Food' or maybe an episode in the 'Global Gardener' series? Maybe both? Also, appropedia.org is an indespensible general resource.

  12. @clacke young or regenerating forests tend to absorb carbon, while mature forests cycle it. But their overall capacity to sink and hold carbon also depends on whether we're talking about wild forests or plantation forests. Wild forests can sink a lot more total carbon than plantations because they include more #biodiversity; more species filling niches in more ecosystem layers (including soil layers). #Permaculture co-founder #BillMollison's take on forests:
