#Bill14 & #Bill15 are #undemocratic bills that #BCNDP is shoving through. This #BCgovernment, under greasy #JohnHorgan groomed super sellout, former civil liberties lawyer guy, #DavidEby - is breaking its own law under the Declaration of the Rights of #IndigenousPeoples.
This type of #neoliberalism is right in line with #BillC5 from #GovernmentOfCanada under #MarkCarney federal Liberals(Conservatives, basically). They take actions which are against the publics' interests. They serve corporations over people & environment. They are always greenwashing & whitewashing, while helping with ecocidal corporate plundering & endangering our liveable futures.
These corrupted, corporate lobbyist pandering governments don't really give a damn about #IndigenousCommunities - they still want to exploit lands & steal resources without prior consultation or consent.

@SnowyCA in many ways it makes all of this very suspect. As an FN person, I immediately see it as a threat on my rights ... but if you look at the larger picture, FN rights are only part of the problem ... the greater problem is that it is terribly and dangerously undemocratic. Gov love to keep this issue framed as an FN problem with just FN people - a perspective that easily divides people in the country.
The problem goes far beyond FN rights ... this is a dangerously undemocratic process that is affecting and will affect all of Canada, not just FN people.

The Wildlife Conservation Society of Canada has described the Hudson Bay Lowland, as ‘the second largest peatland complex on the globe, storing between 30 to 39 billion tonnes of soil carbon.’ Destroying, disrupting or disturbing this carbon sink would not only release this carbon but also take away this critical mechanism of absorbing atmospheric carbon.
