‘Beyond parody’: Saanich raises road to slow ‘fast-moving’ cyclists – not drivers

One thing I want to add: it wouldn't even make it to the news if the cycle path crosswalk wasn't raised.

Unsignalized crossings are often terrifying because of wide roadways, absence of refuge islands or markings, obstructed views, big traffic volumes, large vehicles. At least some of the issues were fixed here.
