Post-script: It took a few tries but I have successfully performed a "lever bleed" that just purges the air from an otherwise functional hydraulic brake system on a relatively new bike and now it works nicely.
So I will probably again defer taking the bike to the 100-mile tuneup the manual recommends (as I cross over 400 miles) because I don't wanna

i did not need, like

really? to get the old tyre off? I used some levers but I probably didn't have to? Same for putting the new one on? It was super fast and easy because IT'S NOT TUBELESS READY SO IT DOESN'T REQUIRE LOCKING THE THING INTO A BLOODY VISE TO POP THE FUCKING BEAD
so now i'm all "oh, _that's_ why"
and I'm 100% on team new rear wheel xD

On today's ride, the center suspension on my bike broke and I was a bit far from home, so I felt like the bike was heavy because the suspension was stuck as if it was carrying its maximum weight. Luckily I was able to return... but in the meantime, I'll have to go to the workshop once more... 😔😮💨🚲 #bikemaintenance #biketooter
