"Do you like riding bikes? Do you like camping? Ever wanted to experiment with doing them together? Bikepacking is a way to do both! Bikepacking consists of strapping & packing gear onto your bike and then going someplace– enabling you to go out overnight or on longer adventures using your bike.

At this event we will:

- Play around with loading gear onto your bike
- Skill-share about bikepacking
- Go on a fun little (9 mile) ride together

This event is for people who have never biked with gear/weight and are looking to learn a bit about bikepacking, AND for people who have some experience bikepacking and would like to share their knowledge.

Experience required: ablity to ride a bicycle

Equipment required: a bicycle that fits you!

Queer events are designed as an affinity spaces for queer and trans people of all racial identities. If you think you might be queer or trans, you are queer enough. While we love our allies and advocates, if you’re not queer, don’t come to these events."

Join the Eastern Trail and the Allagash Bungalow for a Bike & Brew Event on the Eastern Trail!

The Eastern Trail Alliance is excited to host the first Bike & Brew ride of 2026

Join us on Saturday, May 23rd for a 15–20 mile socially-paced ride starting and ending at the Allagash Bungalow.

Afterward, gather for beers, cheers, and good conversation at the brewery. This event is free and advance registration is appreciated. Donations to the Eastern Trail are greatly appreciated and can be made during registration.

Ride Details
10:00 AM – Meet at the Allagash Bugalow
10:30 AM – Ride Start
12:30–1:30 PM – Post-ride gathering at the Allagash Bugalow

What to Expect

- Bring a spare inner tube (correct size/valve for your bicycle tire). We can assist with changing flats, if you have a tube.
- In the event of inclement weather, the ride may be canceled or rescheduled. A final decision will be shared with registered participants the morning of the event.
- The first ride this year from the Allagash Bungalow which is located at10 Market St. in Scarborough. It's very close to the Scarborough Downs development.
- We will ride for about two hours and return to Allagash Bungalow for refreshments. Bathrooms will be available at Allagash pre-ride.There is plenty of free parking at Allagash."
