Throughout the city, the rate people on bikes are getting into reportable crashes has steadily decreased. Nearly 3x as many crashes had no injury and ~1/6 were serious injuries from 2015-2022 compared to 2004-2012

Bike lane separation along Mass Ave has shown repeatably that better bike lanes dramatically increase ridership (24-68%) and reduce sidewalk riding by ~80%.

This means these projects are making our streets safer for everyone, including pedestrians.
