@Jennifer_Miller @uxmark I got to hear Peter Walker speak at an event in Seattle for Cascade Bicycle Club a while back (probably pre-COVID). Agreed it's a great read for people who don't know how much of a multi-solving tool bicycling is. Now I have to look for The Miracle Pill. The Walking Life by Antonia Malchik is also great on that topic, or 52 Reasons to Walk by Annabel Abs.

@HyL @ascentale I initially thought of true newbies but someone could already know how to ride and be new to some other aspect or type of riding, so something you recommend to introduce someone to any element of bicycling.

Edited to add that I'm an experienced rider, mostly for transportation, some touring, deep policy background. I'm looking for books to recommend to others who need information to start or expand their riding.
