Excerpt: "As detailed in news reports in recent years, members of the tech elite have directed their nannies to keep their kids away from #AddictiveScreens and sent their kids to a private San Francisco school with a strict no-screens policy. 'I just wanted our kids to have a #TechnologyFree start, so that they would be playing and running around and picking up leaves and getting dirty, rather than sitting inside and watching a screen,' said one parent.
"This attitude extends to the C-suite. Susan Wojcicki, who recently stepped down as YouTube CEO, admitted in 2017 that she sometimes confiscated her kids’ phones. Google’s chief executive, Sundar Pichai, revealed in 2018 that his 11-year-old son did not have a phone. The following year, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg explained that he didn’t want his young children sitting in front of a computer 'for a long period of time.'
"One former Facebook executive, Chamath Palihapitiya, put it more bluntly, saying that he felt 'tremendous guilt' about helping to build the social network and that his children 'aren’t allowed to use that shit.'
"These admissions have been largely forgotten with the speed of the news cycle over the past five years. But taken together, they reveal an industry that tries to shield its kids from the dangers of technology—while touting the very same products for everyone else. It begs the question: Why shouldn’t America’s young people receive the same levels of protection that Silicon Valley parents provide for their own?
While tech executives have gone quieter lately on the subject of how they regulate tech use for their offspring, there are signs that they continue to harbor private doubts about the products they market to the world. When tech-focused publication The Information surveyed more than 1,000 subscribers last year, it found that 'Silicon Valley’s children spend far less time on screens than the average American kid.'

For instance, everyone who smokes tobacco products and sees marijuana as an illegal substance is a result of American nationalism/racism and #BigTobacco lobbying for the US government to classify it as illegal.
Marijuana is quite literally one of the most versatile plants on the planet. But because a bunch of rich white men in America could not control it to make profit from it, they decided to focus on the addiction aspect, as if tobacco isn't also addictive.
#BigTech is in reference to #BigOil, #BigPharma, #BigTobacco. The prefix is given to industries, especially specific industry-controlling corporations, that prioritise profits over well-being on a massive scale.
It is a fitting name.
The concern is not the name, but instead the “big” influence they have on the global population through their competition-stifling, lobbying and bribery.

Olaf Scholz hat als damaliger Finanzminister zugunsten und mit #BigTobacco eine Strafsteuer auf Liquid-Bestandteile verabschiedet. Ein Liter destilliertes Wasser aus einem Vape-Shop würde durch die Strafsteuer 400 Euro kosten. Die Folge ist, ein Großteil der Liquid-Bestandteile wird von den Verbrauchern schon jetzt illegal besorgt.
Sobald auch noch ein Aroma-Verbot eingeführt wird, wird es richtig schlimm. Ein Teil der Verbraucher werden zwar wieder Raucher, wie beabsichtigt. Aber der Rest vom Markt wird durch diese #Prohibition der "#Mafia" geschenkt.

Er hat es korrekt erkannt. #Jugendschutz ist hier ein Vorwand. Es profitiert jedoch nicht nur #Schwarzmarkt und #BigTobacco. Es ist gut möglich, dass der Profit von #BigPharma höher ausfällt. Das Gesundheitswesen ist auf ständigen Nachschub durch das Rauchen verursachte Krankheiten angewiesen. In der Regel stammen die meisten Desinformationen deshalb auch von Big Pharma. Beide große Player lobbyieren diese "Jugendschutzgesetze". Und oben drauf fürchtet der Staat Milliardenverluste bei der Tabaksteuer. Insgesamt also eine unheilige Allianz aus 3 Beteiligten, die auf ihre Milliarden-Profite nicht verzichten wollen und dafür über Leichen gehen. 🚬

Das neue #Nichtraucherschutzgesetz in #BadenWürttemberg ist inzwischen auch durch.
Es wurden zwar Verbände und Bürger "pro forma" angehört, aber das Gesetz ging unverändert durch. Für diese "Bürgerbeteiligung" lobt sich die Landesregierung sogar noch selbst.
Hauptzweck war es, das "Passivrauchen" von #EZigaretten mit und ohne Nikotin in Gesetzesform zu bringen. Was wissenschaftlich längst widerlegt ist. Es gibt schlicht kein schädliches Passivrauchen bei E-Zigaretten. Also erneut ein lobbyiertes Gesetz zugunsten von #BigTobacco und #BigPharna.
Sogar mit Bußgeldern. 200 bis 500 Euro kostet nun das #Dampfen in Bereichen ähnlich den Cannabis-Bereichen.
Der Witz: Es gibt Ausnahmen bei Raucherräumen. Dampfer, die vom tödlichen Tabak weg sind, werden dort zu wirklichen Passivrauchern. 🙄
Aktuell gibt es gelegentlich noch neue Verdampfer. Aber der Markt ist schon sehr zerstört.
Die Lobbys von #BigTobacco und #BigPharna arbeiten weiter daran, das Dampfen faktisch zu verbieten oder es so einzuschränken, dass es niemand mehr zur Rauchfreiheit verhilft. Durch lobbyierte Gesetze mit schlechten und teueren Produkten den zerstörten Markt zu übernehmen, ist keine überraschende Taktik.
