Medical Totalitarianism
…According to official data, there are 1.82 million practicing physicians in the EU, about four per thousand inhabitants. Including retired doctors, there are at least two million doctors, for 450 million people. In addition, there are 456,000 pharmacists working in pharmacies, 365,000 dentists, and 3.6 million nurses. Overall, there are at least seven million medical personnel, to which number should also be added thousands working in the various health ministries, in hospital administration staffs, in health insurance companies, as ambulance personnel, in the pharmaceutical industry, so that the total number of people employed in the “health industry” may be between eight million and ten million people. Add to that the number of dependents and family members, and one could say that some twenty million EU citizens depend wholly or partly on money earned in the health business. According to official figures, health care spending in the EU in 2022 was ten percent of GNP, en enormous figure, while the EU pharmaceuticals market was estimated at over 500 billion Euro in 2024.
Given those numbers, it is not very surprising that governments and business would want to make sure that physicians take the kind of decisions (i.e. make diagnoses and write prescriptions according to strict guidelines) that sustain the system and make it profitable. In a sense, the almost two million physicians are the front troops of the system. As long as they prescribe the pills and vaccinations that the pharmaceutical industry produces, the system will thrive. One could also say those almost two million doctors are drug pushers just as much as street dealers in marijuana, cocaine and fentanyl. This latter business in Europe is estimated at 30 billion Euro (2019), but this is all tax free.
In line with centralized medicine, medical students across the EU are being trained to think alike and behave like loyal members of the state-directed medical establishment. In other words, the EU medical establishment (already part of a global network controlled and managed by the WHO), functions like the Roman Catholic Church or a traditional old-style Communist Party. Medical “consensus” (imposed top-down) is for physicians what dogma is for Roman Catholic clergy and the party line for Communists. All physicians are required to adhere to medical consensus and those who don’t are made to pay for it. It means that in practice the Hippocratic oath is no more than a cute folkloric custom without content or true meaning.

USA is very similar. Furthermore, it does appear that the totalitarian medical system has been and still is a spearhead of universal totalitarianism. The same kinds of totalitarian control are present in news media, social media algorithms, captured agencies throughout government, government itself. The human need to socialize and conform is being used against us in every example you can think of: A general rule is conjured, followed by regulations, typically lower down on the ladders of power. Then these regulations metastasize and multiply into other organizations. Then they climb and descend the ladders of power. Like all fractal processes, there are currents of control going both ways, all ways, bottom to top, top to bottom. Before long, you have elementary school teachers deciding your child’s gender in a school system that has previously ruled it is in the best interests of your child that you will not be told what is happening. Totalitarianism is maddening in its details, a telling fact that always identifies it. ABN

I think there would be a correlation, but in my view it is caused by multiple factors and not by an employment-inflation nexus (despite the NAIRU model). For example, we already know from recent experience with #GreedFlation when #bigMoney and the #Oligopolies were looking at shrinking opportunities to make a killing (super profits and stock market manipulation), that increasing profits is inflationary and has an adverse impact on jobs security, increases cost of living and gives rise to unemployment when small businesses are squeezed out. You’d think that the system would self-balance somewhere if not for greed and corruption and an controversial addiction to growth at all costs. A balanced (regulated) economy could sustain its society where ‘no one is left behind’ but where Millionaires are few and billionaires do not exist. This is no a ‘leftist’ view, simply being humane and compassionate. -

It is my recollection that danger signals from vax recipients showed up even sooner than early March 2021. Without doubt, the deeply sh*tty claim that the covid vax was ‘Safe & Effective’ was a blatant lie. Based on this and other lies, let alone hiding the VAERS data, the FDA and CDC and entire medical and pharmaceutical industry should not be trusted again until after there has been a very thorough cleaning up of all of these institutions. Covid and the covid vax is but a fraction of the entire USA institutional health problem. It’s all fixable and even fairly obvious, and some progress is being made, but there is still a very long way to go. At a bare minimum citizens should demand health freedom guarantees, so the bottom line at least rests with us and not some jackass on a schoolboard, government agency, doctor’s office or hospital. "The Independent U.S. Senator from Vermont suggested Trump's victory was the direct result of a political economy largely controlled by the nation's richest individuals and powerful #corporations and a situation in which massive wealth inequality has also created an incredible power imbalance.
"'This is what Oligarchy looks like,' Sanders said. 'Today, while 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, three multi-billionaires own more wealth than the bottom half of American society.'
"With a 'greater concentration of ownership than we have seen since the #GildedAge,' Sanders continued, from healthcare and financial services to the food, transportation, and housing sectors—'fewer and fewer giant corporations control what is produced and the prices we pay.'
"Sanders slammed a corporate media system in which corporate consolidation has led to an information and entertainment ecosystem in which an estimated '90% of U.S. media is controlled by just six huge global conglomerates,' and a political system 'increasingly controlled by the #BillionaireClass' that is allowed to inject nearly limitless amounts of money into elections, most of it secretly and without accountability.
"'In the recent elections,' Sanders bemoaned, 'just 150 billionaire families spent nearly $2 billion to get their candidates elected.' Such a reality, he said, must be challenged.
"'Our job in the coming months and years is clear. We must defeat the oligarchs and create an economy and government that works for all, not just the few.'
"How can such a defeat of these powerful forces be achieved? Sanders' latest statement did not reveal a prescription, but in a series of recent missives, social media posts, and interviews over the last week, the two-time presidential candidate has said that focusing on building working-class power is the key.
"In a letter to supporters last week, Sanders said the question of 'where do we go from here?' is a 'very serious' one that demands deep scrutiny in the coming weeks and months. And he asked a series of more specific questions that he said must be addressed, including:
• How do we expand our efforts to build a multi-racial, multi-generational working-class movement?
• How do we create a 50 state movement, not politics based on the electoral college and 'battleground' states?
• How do we deal with #CitizensUnited and the ability of billionaires to buy elections?
• How do we recruit more working-class candidates for office at all levels of government?
• Should we be supporting Independent candidates who are prepared to take on both parties?
• How do we better support union organizing?
• How do we put together listening sessions around the country that intentionally seek input from people who did not vote for Democrats in the last election?
• How do we best use social media to build our movement and combat the lies and disinformation coming from the billionaire class and right-wing media?"In a subsequent interview with The Nation, Sanders it is 'absolutely' necessary to find ways to challenge both the #DemocraticParty and the #RepublicanParty, both of which are dominated by #CorporateInterests and #WealthyDonors.

Fifty years ago, Watergate sparked a national reckoning with the corrosive role of #unregulated #money in our political system.
Another round of significant reforms is long overdue.
So what can be done?
The next Congress can start by passing the
"Freedom to Vote Act"
– a broad
💥democracy reform package that includes a variety of strong provisions to
rein in Super Pacs,
curb dark money
and strengthen enforcement.Congress came within a few votes of passing this package in 2022.
Congressional leaders have affirmed they will make it a top priority in 2025.
They should renew that commitment at the first opportunity.
Over the longer term, it is also critical that governments at all levels explore
💥alternative ways to fund campaigns
– including through reviving and building on the long-term goal of effective #public #financing.The new system that went into effect this cycle in New York state, for instance,
uses public funds to match small private contributions from candidates’ constituents
– making it possible for them to rely less on wealthy donors outside of their districts and states.New York could be an excellent model for a revitalized federal public financing system.

I don't know how you can say that. #IRV is the closest thing to a panacea when it comes to fixing our election system. It:1) Ends the 2-Party system.
2) No more spoilers.
3) It *greatly* mitigates the influence of #BigMoney in politics thanks to shorter & less intense campaigns.
