Hey y’all, keep an eye on the Texas Mexico border. Weird things are afoot at the Circle K.
So, first the government announced, with no warning to airlines or local authorities, that they were closing the El Paso airport for 10 days. That’s a big deal, El Paso is the 23rd largest city in the country, and most travel from the lower states going west transits through El Paso.
They claimed it was because of a drone invasion from Mexico. Sure, Jan.
Then the government lifted the close, but still can’t explain it. Here’s the thing, the battalion who trains with drones is at #FortBliss & its airfield, #biggsarmyairfield near El Paso.
Edit: It's now appearing that the Army was testing lasers that could have downed an airliner? Maybe? Nobody in this regime would know the truth if it bit them.
Also edit: I had the wrong Fort. It's Bliss, not Hood.
Either way, it’s a bad look. -
Multiple sources from the federal government & US airlines told CNN that #military activity near #ElPaso, including #US #drones monitoring #cartel operations & the #Pentagon’s planned use of a high-energy laser designed to counter drones, raised immediate concerns for civilian traffic arriving & departing #ELP. #FortBliss & its airfield, #BiggsArmyAirfield, sit just north of the commercial airport, which serves about 100 flights each day.
