After the big freeze this morning I have some casualties where the corner of the frost cloth blew up and they were uncovered. Gonna have to anchor that corner with a rock or something so it doesn’t happen again. I’m not sure whether they will recover or not. I’m trying hard to not be upset. I did everything I could but I’m still really sad.

Okay, turns out that there was perspiration dampening my socks, hence the cold feet thing. The socks started irritating nerves & causing pain, so I abandoned them to the hamper. Slid my shoes back on...and the insoles were damp. That tells me so were the socks.
So, I have my feet tucked into some micro fleece with the shoes kicked off. Toasty warm.
Nice Christmas Eve way to read.

And once again, I'm late taking my medications. So, I have a drink, my pill bag, and took off shoes & socks to tuck them into fleece to warm up. Much cozier!

It's cold here.
Like below freezing cold.
I know that for much of the country, our temps seem like they are nothing. But add in coastal dampness, and it's sheer misery.
I might even put on socks for a while.

Preparing for the annual moving of the outdoor plants ahead of the #bigfreeze in Texas.
The temps will dip to 29°F tonight. That's not so much of a big deal in my home state of WI, but it is in Texas where most homes aren't insulated and have no storm windows.
