The further consolidation of the pharmaceutical sector looks likely, making the epithet 'BigPharma' even more apposite:
UK-based AstraZenica are in talks with US Bristol Myers about a merger into a likely $400bn capitalised mega corporation (making it the fourth largest global drug maker).
Is this a further sign that UK corporations are under-valued, or an indication of a pivot away from the UK drugs market, or both?
We can bet it won't *reduce* drug prices!

New research claims human emissions are not driving atmospheric CO2
A paper by Dai Ato ran multiple linear regressions for 1959 to 2022, testing two predictors of the annual CO2 increase: sea surface temperature and human emissions.
The result was clear: when the oceans warmed, CO2 levels rose almost exactly in step – about two to three parts per million for every one degree Celsius of warming.
Adding human emissions to the model didn’t change the outcome.
Using only ocean temperature, the model reproduced global CO2 levels with near-perfect accuracy – a correlation of 0.995 and an error of just one to two ppm by 2022.
The main factor governing the annual increase in atmospheric CO2 concentration is sea surface temperature rather than human emissions.
Earlier studies have shown the same pattern. Temperature changes first, CO2 follows.
If Ato is correct, cutting human emissions won’t lower atmospheric CO2 because it’s the oceans that set the pace.
The top 3.5 meters of ocean contain as much heat as the entire atmosphere. We know oceans are heated at abyssal depths. The earth’s core is 9,800°F. No money to be made in cooling the ocean or the earth’s core. Ergo, Big Money rules Big Climate ‘Science’, just as it does Big Medical ‘Science’, Big Media, Big Government, Big Globalism, all the Big BS out there. I wish that #BigPharma with all of their millions and billions of dollars, could develop an actual happy pill, one that brings calm, tranquility and peace to the soul when you take it. I have a call in to the psychiatrist who is assisting with my meds, and I hope to hear from them today to see if they have any bright ideas. My current instability is literally making me tired. Right now there’s a part of me that thinks the hospital might not be a terrible option. I’ve had one experience in a psych hospital, and it was actually rather positive. But I was on private insurance in those days, and I’ve been told that when you’re on #Medicare things aren’t so great on those wards. So for now, I’m staying at home with my things, my cats, and my human, who is being such a trooper through all of this.
