So…this author blog has a new spinoff blog as of today. And I am proud to say that the first post is officially out to give you all a taste of what’s to come!

“Unscripted Jarrick Exum” is the blog that will feature my authentic side of me as a content creator and author with autism. This blog will feature the highs, lows, and in-between parts of who I am as well as my take on current events (national news, politics, etc) as well as some of quips on what’s going on in my head at the moment. Bottom line? “Unscripted” is going to be raw, real, and unapologetically authentic.

Now as with this blog, I can’t guarantee that I will update everyday due to my day job and all. But I will be keeping things fresh, consistent, and even a bit quirky. And I hope you guys join me for the fun as a new chapter begins.

As for this blog, it will still go forward as planned, but I am going to be making some changes regarding my goals as a novelist. As seasons change, so do the priorities. Hi everyone,

We have some big news to share.

As you know, our sail from Saint Helena to Brazil was our most challenging yet, not because of the ocean or the weather but because we literally ran out of energy (first our batteries, then our bodies).

As with all challenging experiences something beautiful came out of it 5 days before we arrived in Brazil.

We had been hand steering for 10 days by that time at 2 hour shifts and 1 proper meal a day. Dimi came off his shift at 6am and I went on shift. In the previous 2 hours we had both been having the same thought unknowingly.

Before Dimi went to sleep he said: I have a crazy idea, I thought and said, ‘oh no’ and laughed. And he said, ‘should I rather not say it?’, and I said ‘no please tell me’. Then he said what I had been thinking in the hours before:

‘I think when we get home we should adopt a baby’.

We will start this process when we get back to Cape Town but we wanted to share our happy news with everyone in the meantime.

We don’t know for sure how long the process will take and obviously there are no guarantees but that’s where we are at.

The remainder are minor and have no real impact on how the law will be applied to Meta or Google.

Put down your saber and let’s try to work through this together” it’s a fake out designed to deceive. There are no regulations to be discussed that change the core elements of the law. It’s been decided, has received royal assent, and kicks in anytime within the next 120 days. News Media Canada and the associated lobby groups won the battle for Bill C-18.
