In Upper Silesia, the metropolitan area has announced its intentions to have trains running from Katowice to the town of Bieruń (Bieruń Stary station, to be exact) every hour once the passenger infrastructure is properly restored (and work at Katowice station is complete) in 2029. This would be an extension of some of the trains currently terminating in Tychy Lodowisko.
