I got myself a pair of continental gator skin (28-622) in 2018 and that was second hand. It survived two Norwegian winters(maybe a few more before that) and 5 German winters. 7 years on my bicycle and still running. I wanted to give myself a treat and get a new set of tyres but I don't see why. In these years I had one puncture ! and I ride a lot. I cannot get myself to trust any other pair of tyres now other than a set of Gatorskin. Do any of you have other experiences ?

( Rim is slightly smaller than a regular 28" ( or 622 in #ETRTO ). I have seen some so-called 27" that were 630 here in #Sweden, but this 27" is smaller..? Current tire is named Semperit Superior 2000. )

Top cycling tip: when your tyre is worn to the extent that the puncture resistant layer becomes visible it's probably time to replace it.

Also, I should probably follow my own advice :-)

This tyre lasted over 15000 km, with some fairly enthusiastic cornering (three wheelers can be hard on front tyres) and it never punctured, as you'd expect from a Schwalbe Marathon.

It's a good thing I run a bike parts shop and keep these in stock:
