In Gilgamesh (written around 2100 BCE), Utnapishtim is warned by the gods to build a boat and save animals from a massive flood, just like Noah in the Bible’s Genesis (written around 500–600 BCE). Both stories feature a divine warning, an ark, and a great flood. But while the Bible presents a monotheistic view, Gilgamesh involves multiple gods.

Well, technically, his daughters got him drunk, and boinked him.

I'm not sure if this was before or after he gave them (his daughters) to the townspeople so they (the townspeople) wouldn't rape the holy men who were visiting Lot.

But, knowing how alcohol effects my own penis, I'm reasonably certain he woulda been cognizant of daughter dearest applying ministrations.

In the USA NaCl is called Sodium Chloride. I always wondered why.

I suspect that Lot's wife is to blame for this. She looked behind her at Sodom and was turned into a pillar of salt, hence Sodium Chloride.

I’ve been listening to an audiobook of The Book of Enoch. I grew up in an apocalyptic cult, and I am so miffed that this book was removed from the Bible. This is some amazing shit! I’d have loved reading this as a kid. It sure beats the begat section. I wonder why it became apocryphal?
