Managed to get a good few #boardgames in in July!
Had a blast playing the #netrunner starter set with a friend, and was able to introduce them to #ashesascendancy as well!
Having just played Dredge, my partner and I loved the art and theme of #DeepRegrets. We’ll probably stick with the reduced work week to keep the game from running on next time.
Good solo gaming as well this last month with #Dicemancy, #Deckers, and #Tend!

Here are the #boardgames that I played in June!
Lots of plays, but really enjoying card games. Ashes Reborn (solo vs the PvE enemies so far) has been a refreshing change from Magic, and I got to play Keyforge for the first time (unique decks were fun).
Notable plays: Starship Command (a card-based space battle game designed by a family friend), The King Is Dead (very enjoyable and thematic for a minimal game), and Halls of Hegra (bag-building/work placement survival!)

Hello, June! Here’s my May #bgstats update and highlights:
- Picked up #TooManyBones from a FLGS sale, having a grand time rolling dice and defeating baddies!
- Introduced to Mexica, Mosaic, and Rise & Fall by my group (#Mexica’s my fave among those)
- Finally defeated solo challenge 1 of #HadriansWall
- Trampled in 4 of 5 plays in #Wingspan by my partner (who claimed our all time high score of 150 this month!)
- Entered Chapter 2 of #ArkhamHorrorLCG… -
@BGStatsApp Hello! I want to ask for a feature or at least some idea as to how to do it with the current systems.
I would love to make a tournament and have some kind of hub in the app for a specific game and a specific group. Would be a good idea for an payed add on. Multiple games or the same game. Brackets and league systems would be cool too.

Mein März in Brettspielen.
El Paso zum ersten Mal am Tisch - und ich weiß jetzt wie OP Gebäude 2a ist. Wir haben natürlich mit der alten Regel gespielt 🙄
Seti war - entgegen populärer Meinung - das schlimmste Spielerlebnis seit langem.
Innovation dagegen enttäuscht nie.
Artengarten ist unerwartet selten gespielt worden. Liegt wohl zum Teil auch daran dass mein Mann einen neuen Job hat.
Bei Weimar haben bei uns zum ersten Mal nicht die Kommunisten sondern die Deutschnationalen gewonnen

Monthly board game plays for Feb 2026: not a lot of time for games this last month, but there was time for a meetup and a couple games of Magic.
I knew nothing about Bus beforehand, but I enjoyed its public transportation with a dash of quirky sci-fi gameplay. I liked that it gave you all of your actions up front, allowing you to rush ahead or bide your time.
The new Viticulture board was refreshing and is the main way I’ll play the game without Tuscany from here on.

Nearly forgot about the monthly post! January flew by. Played a nice set of games this last month.
Finally got Atiwa to the table with my group. Dartmoor and Re;Act are new acquisitions that have been a lot of fun to play with my partner, and we’re excited to get the Wingspan Americas expansion soon. So You’ve Been Cursed is also really good, love a good asymmetrical game.

After 15 or so years of playing modern board games, Castles of Burgundy is still my favorite. It was one of the first we bought when we discovered this hobby. I love it so much! It does everything I want. Puzzly tile laying. Clever dice rolling. Big exciting combo fueled turns that make you feel clever when you see them. It just makes me so happy! According to my board game stats app, I've played at least 346 different games. This one still stands above the rest.

Weiß jemand wie ich in der App #BGStats auf Android ein Label löschen kann?
Ich hatte zwei quasi identische Gruppen von SpielerInnen. Ich habe denen jetzt komplett Label A gegeben, Label B wird nicht mehr gebraucht (und verwirrt nur unnötig). Bestimmt kann ich Label B irgendwie löschen. Aber wie?

Diesen Monat konnte ich meinen Mann endlich dazu überreden, sich Innovation anzuschauen, das einen festen Platz in meiner All-Time-Favorites-Liste hat. Große Freude, dass es ihm so richtig gut gefällt dass er es von selbst vorschlägt ("hier da, das mit den Karten...") 😅
Danach haben wir den ganzen Monat eigentlich kaum noch was anderes gespielt. Meine andere Isofar-Hälfte war im Urlaub, deshalb war da nicht viel los. Da geht's nächste Woche weiter.
#Trickerion wollte ich schon länger mal testen, da gab es nun endlich die Gelegenheit. Und ich muss sagen, auf eine zweite Partie hab ich nur sehr bedingt Lust 🤷🏼♂️
#Heat war auch nicht so mein Fall, aber schön, es mal gespielt zu haben. Kriegt bei Gelegenheit vielleicht ne zweite Chance...
Und mit El Grande kam ein Urgestein auf den Tisch. Die Partie zu fünft hatte einen Hang zum Chaos, hat aber Spaß gemacht. Und das obwohl #AreaControl bzw #AreaMajority zu den Mechanismen zählt, die ich am wenigsten mag.

Der April war wieder ein sehr solider Monat. Abwechslungsreich genug eine Top 16 zu zeigen.
Spannenderweise fühle ich dennoch unterspielt. Mir fehlen ein paar Spiele auf die ich noch Lust hätte.

Totally forgot about March plays, but then again, they were few and far between (the fewest #BoardGames I’d played in at least a year!).
Most interestingly, I played the #PokemonTCG (casually) for the first time in about 25 years, and after having dived deep into board games and LCGs, I found it quite familiar and far more interesting than the relatively simple game that it was in 2000.
#Perch and #GrandAustriaHotel were both bangers, excited to play them again soon!

Ein sehr vielfältiger #Brettspielmonat liegt hinter mir. Ein Highlight waren sicher die beiden Partien #WeimarDerKampfUmDieDemokratie mit @Ladilaxo - falls ihr aus Stuttgart und Umgebung seid: Das Spiel ist in der @stadtbibliothekstuttgart ausleihbar (worauf ich ein wenig stolz bin, denn ich habe das in die Wege geleitet.😋)
#MollyHouse ist auch eine außergewöhnliche Erfahrung gewesen. Es ist leider bei einer unvollständigen Erstpartie geblieben. Würde ich gern vertiefen. Leider hat das Spiel niemand aus meinem Umkreis.
Dass wir nach gut einem Jahr endlich den zweiten Fluch auf #DerSiebteKontinent brechen konnten, war auch unvergesslich.
Außerdem ergab sich die Gelegenheit in #ArkhamHorrorLCG reinzuschnuppern. Ist ganz OK soweit, aber ob ich Fan werde, weiß ich nicht.
Der Abstand zur letzten Partie #DieSiderischeKonfluenz war leider so groß, dass wir dieses Mal einige Regelfehler drin hatten. Spaß hat es aber auf jeden Fall gemacht. Tolles Spiel! Ich hoffe auf baldige Wiederholung.

A few #boardgames were brought out after 10+ years to see if they still work. Hamburgum and Redneck Life still hit the spot for vastly different reasons.
The cylons are on a winning steak in #battlestargalactica. Time to tweak our house rules in favour of the humans? Too soon to tell tbh. BSG is still a fun and challenging game after 1000+ plays.

Nachdem wir gestern #Faraway zum ersten Mal gespielt hatten, kam es heute gleich nochmal auf den „Tisch“… Die Tochter hat zwar erneut verloren, aber um Einiges besser gespielt. Die Lücke schließt sich langsam. Mal sehen, wann sie an mir vorbei zieht… 👀 Danach noch eine Runde #Draftosaurus auf dem Grundspielplan. Laut #BGStatsApp ist es 2 Jahre her, dass wir das gespielt haben. Kaum zu glauben und sehr, sehr sträflich… 🫣 Das Kind gewinnt… #brettspiele @brettspiele

I’m a bit shocked that September flew by so fast, but that means it’s time for September’s plays (and Solotober!)
I played some excellent new games (Flatiron and Stamp Swap), new to me games (Nusfjord, Red Cathedral, Hadrian’s Wall, and Golem), and some older favorites (Rolling Realms, Arkham Horror LCG, NEOM, and Root in particular!).
I also got to try Agricola, Terra Mystica, and Forest Shuffle for the first time. All great games!
