Zavedene\_i smo v odvisnost od platform, ki so nam bile ponujene brezpogojno – darila, ki niso bila vezana na noben program, smo mislile\_i. Sčasoma se je odvisnost poglobila, prost dostop do njih pa smo vedno bolj obravnavale\_i kot temeljno pravico.

Danes, ko ta tehnologija tvori živčni sistem ultra nasilnega, supremacističnega režima, ki golta planet in ker uporaba teh platform pomeni podporo temu režimu, moramo sprejeti neprijetno odločitev. Neprijetno, ker od nas zahteva nekaj več časa, aktivacijo in angažma pri prehodu iz umetno ustvarjene odvisnosti v vzpostavljanje samoniklih prostorov, zase in za naše skupnosti. Da same odločamo o spletni prisotnosti, družbenosti, in algoritmični prihodnosti.

Na tem uvodnem srečanju si bomo delile\_i znanje o imperializmu, predvsem pa o možnostih opravnomočnenja, digitalne suvernosti in neodvisnosti. Prince Lucija bo predstavila Fediverzo, Mastodon in gmajna.social. Pogledale\_i bomo tudi kako enostavno ustvariti lastno in avtonomno spletno stran (in zakaj).

Fediverza (fediverse, fedi) je interoperabilno omrežje in samo-organizirana infrastruktura široke palete različnih svobodnih in odprtokodnih aplikacij, med njimi je najbolj znan naprimer Mastodon. Na srečanju bomo lahkotno podrsali po površini tega kompleksnega medmrežja na medmrežju, se rahlo dotaknili prisotnih politik in izpostavili nekaj najbolj koristnih "app-ov". Poglobili se bomo v konkretne servise, ki jih že ponuja Kompot, njihovo uporabo in kako z njimi upravljati v prihodnje: 'gancio' (na naslovu koledar.kompot.si) za objavljanje dogodkov, in 'pixelfed' (na naslovu jugopiksel.top) kot alternativa Instagramu. Dobrodošle_ in vabljene_ vse_, ki vas zanima, kako je mogoče izstopiti iz kompleksnega in utesnjujočega klobčiča sledilnih in manipulativnih algortmov, t.i. "umetne inteligence", tehnoloških velikanov, in Elmota, in vseeno delovati na družbenih omrežjih ali objavljati na spletu.

I'd used NFSN for 16 years before I finally let my last sites/domains lapse in 2021. I went right back to them when I decided to start up again about six months ago.

Leaving aside deposit fees and domain name registration, it costs me about $0.12 per day to run both sites as "production." I could with only a little effort consolidate them into one site and cut that in half. And "non-production" sites cost a fraction of this, even.
