A la hora de retratarlos, la idea del fotógrafo Gered Mankowitz siempre fue la "de comunicar algo sobre los #Stones como personas y no tratar de enmascarar sus personalidades con ningún tipo de adorno técnico o teatral”. Y ese es el concepto detrás de la tapa de #BetweenTheButtons, publicado hace 55 años, más allá del filtro que diluye la imagen de la banda. La imagen, los muestra en el parque de Primrose Hill, al norte de Londres, durante las primeras horas de la mañana después de una agotadora jornada de grabación y es, a su vez, una manifestación del espíritu descontrolado de la época.
