( +7” single @ 33rpm)I forgot how much I like this album. I found this in a used bin a few days ago, and tonight’s spin of it is probably the first time I’ve heard ANY of it since it came out.
The little Dutch band that could. They had a pretty great run. A handful of really cool, fun records, and they got to tour with a bunch of really great bands.
Palomine was the big one, and the album that most people who witnessed the band in real time back then remember.
The whole first side of this album slays, but it does lose a little momentum near the end, minus the excellent cover of Sebadoh’s “Healthy Sick”.
This is the only time it’s ever been released on vinyl since its ORIGINAL pressing, which also came with the 7”, making it a true reissue in every detail.

Bis heute existiert, von der Öffentlichkeit weitgehend unbemerkt, eine der grossartigsten Indie-Bands überhaupt, die wunderbaren "Bettie Serveert".

While the house is quiet, I’ve dug out some #vinyl, including the awesome Palomine from #BettieServeert. I carved out the time to see them at their 30th anniversary gig in Amsterdam last year, and picked up this orange vinyl copy of the album - well, the LP is on the turntable, this is a 7inch orange vinyl single. The point being that the Betties are as awesome now as they ever were.
