On Tuesday 28 April, the European Commission issued its 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗿, 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗨 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸, proposing several solutions to the ever-expanding complexification of EU law. BAM: EU Commission did maladministration against it owns rules with the #CAP simplification and #CSRD Omnibus, as it did not respect #BetterRegulation (consultations, impact assessments). This is a really welcome ruling by EU Ombudsman which should help to counter #privilegedaccess and logically lead to far more transparency from the Commission when it comes to so-called #BetterRegulation scrutiny of its legislative proposals.
