@KatLynReid How do you grow as a #writer if you don't share work? How do you gain more skills? Creativity is a living, breathing thing, and you have to feed it. With opinions other than your own. That's why having #CritiquePartners and #Betas is so important. You have to learn how to apply input an #editor will later give you. There's always negativity, even after you've published. Reviews can be brutal. If you can't deal with someone you trust #reading your work, how do you deal with that? YMMV

I really like the simplified definition of ‘beta’ I came up with for a customer the other day who asked “is it safe to assume this [beta] doesn’t put my data at risk of being corrupted?”

I explained: Beta means ‘this is safe to test, but not safe to trust.’ I told them to make backups and proceed with caution. #beta #betas
