A fresh composition of my Amiga A4000. You can clearly see that I'm not using this computer in fact the last time it has been fired up, is in the last century.
The oxidation on the outside of the FDD, clearly indicates electrolytic capacitors inside which should not be electrified.I will need to recap this whole motherboard before I even attempt to turn it on. I'm not planning to do so though
I have an A4000T which just needs another RTG card. The Picasso 96 that I ordered for the last time broke down after 5 years.
If I really want to I can even repair the Picasso 96. The video IC is just a Cyrus logic IIRC
For me AGA is way too slow to work on such a massive machine
Which is the reason for both the A4000T which is in storage and the A4000 to be idle
Below the Amiga you can see a part of a betamax video recorder.

Mit #Meshtastic #meshcore und #Reticulum verhält es sich wie damals mit #VHS #betamax und #video2000 . Letzteres wurde uns von Industrie Konsortien vorgegeben. Ich finde es traurig, dass bei freien Projekten Leute nicht mehr zusammen finden und an einem Strang ziehen können. Hier wo ich wohne, gibt es von diesen drei Mesh Messengern keinerlei Nutzung. Und die Leute hier sind überfordert, dass es von allem zu viele Varianten gibt. Betrifft auch das Fediverse und Linux. Daher wird es nicht kommen.

Dead media: found this old Betamax video cassette behind some books on a shelf in my old bedroom back home, looks like some 1980s #DoctorWho taped on it.
Hard to grasp in digital, on-demand era, but being able to record TV to watch later was such a treat back then.
