Next-door kid (15) just rang the bell; he's making cookies but hasn't got enough eggs, and do I maybe have two that he could have?

Sure, I say, let me go check, we need to go grocery shopping later but I thiiiink we have two eggs? And indeed, there are three left in the carton!

I carefully transfer the eggs to his cupped hands and tell him, I hope the cookies come out well.

Thanks! he grins, and do I want him to bring some over later?

Heck yeah! I'm not going to say no to cookies :) I don't even know what kind they are, but I guess I'll find out!
