There are other options from #Grindelwald that could've been more rewarding, such as:

#Pfingstegg - which offers a toboggan run and a (low speed) fly-line

#Männlichen - supposedly one of the best viewpoints for the #BerneseAlps range, plus a chance to take an open-roof cable car ride to #Wengen

The cablecars to both abovementioned would've been covered by the #BernerOberland pass which we had. First was not covered, but my goal to zip down on the 84 kmph Flyer influenced my choice. YMMV.

While we skipped the skiing part (wrong season anyway), after one revolution in Piz Gloria we headed down to #Birg (2684m summit between Schilthorn and Mürren) for the #ThrillWalk.

It was fun and scenic! Just required more balance on the steel rope than I anticipated (mostly because I'm clumsy with poor balance). Thanks to my partner for recording it so I didn't have to make a fool of myself juggling my camera and my dignity. Sorry about the cable squeaks!

Did a hike today with my most favourite person. Went there by public transport, lunch was cooked on the stove, including some freshly brewed Indonesian coffee. I mean, why not.

Machte heute eine Wanderung mit meiner Lieblingsperson. Fuhren mit ÖV hin, machten auf dem Kocher das Mittagessen und einen frischen indonesischen Kaffee. Passt doch.

So I am pleased I made it within 15m of the peak. Didn't feel confident to climb the last few meters. The peak was a pile of rubble next to a 1000m drop

Bin aber zufrieden, schaffte es bis auf 15m an den Gipfel heran. Für die wenigen Metern fehlte mir dann das Selbstvertrauen. Der Gipfel bestand aus einem Steinhaufen neben einem 1000m Abgrund.

Attempted to reach a mountain peak today with cycling and trail running / hiking. My biggest concern was that it was T4 (category of path difficulty), usually stretching my comfort zone.

Wollte heute einen weiteren Gipfel mit Velo und Trail Running / Wandern erreichen. Bedenken hatte ich, weil es T4 war (Kategorie Wegbeschaffenheit), was mich normalerweise eher fordert.

First hike this year up a mountain. Nothing to high, but some tricky parts. And then we continued through the hills.
Above 1000m, the temperatur was fairly comfortable.

Erste Wanderung auf einen Berg in diesem Jahr. Nicht sehr hoch, aber einige knifflige Abschnitte. Dann ging es weiter durch die Hügel.
Über 1000m war die Temperatur erträglich.
