I love #CFL #referee Ben Major. In tonight's game (Toronto at Calgary) it was a bit of a blowout for Calgary, and partway through the final quarter Toronto put in Nick Arbuckle, their backup quarterback.

As is common for a QB who doesn't get much "real" field time, there were some miscues resulting in flags. And at one point, flags flew, and Major got on the P.A. and called "Offside Toronto - everyone except the center" 😆

This is the same ref that a couple of years ago was calling a game in the Vancouver dome. At some point they had a kickoff and it was quickly whistled dead. He announced on the P.A. "The ball hit the scoreboard. ... Which is weird. We'll reset the clock and re-kick." The crowd got a real kick out of it.

But the best part was the following week, exactly the same thing happened again, with Major also being the head ref for the game. On the P.A. he announced "The ball hit the scoreboard. ... Again. Which is weird" and just about brought the house down.

They ended up raising the scoreboard a few feet after that.
