Bend’s newest brewing venture opens up to the public this Thursday, June 5! #UPPLiquids is the company started by Tonya Cornett and the former 10 Barrel innovation brewing team; on Sunday, UPP hosted a soft opening for friends and family, offering up a first look at the refreshed space and taste of the beers, along with tours of the facility. We attended and got pictures, of course!

#UPPLiquids is the newest brewing venture from industry veteran Tonya Cornett, officially launching in #BendOregon this week in partnership with #ImmersionBrewing. Cornett joined Bend Brewing Company in 2002 and more recently was the R&D brewmaster at 10 Barrel Brewing before being unexpectedly laid off along with the rest of the innovation brewing team last September.

Something not everyone may realize about #Oregon is that, while #Portland gets a lot of the tourist attention (and it should, certainly) and a few other hotspots like #BendOregon or #CannonBeach or #MtHood also do, what's truly remarkable is you can point yourself in almost any direction, end up in a small or mid-size town, and chances are it's just pretty damn awesome. 🥰
Find a coffee shop or a library or a park, and enjoy yourself. The people and the scenery alike will knock your socks off!

The 12th annual High Gravity #Brewfest is returning for another year of big beers, taking place at the #McMenamins Old St. Francis School in #BendOregon on Saturday, February 8. This fest features a variety of strong beers and ciders, perfectly suited for the winter months, from a number of McMenamins breweries (including several collaborations from OSF and Bend-area breweries) and others.

This month marks the 20th anniversary of the opening of #McMenamins Old St. Francis School in #BendOregon, which I wrote about recently for the local paper. As a lead-up to the anniversary, I was invited along with other local media folks on a tour of the property, as a bit of a retrospective on 20 years. Here's a bit of that tour.
