Changes on Central Avenue at Belle Isle State Park in Detroit will provide two-way traffic on one segment. Central Avenue through the wet-mesic flatwoods will remain one-way, but change from eastbound to westbound.
"Central Avenue is expected to reopen with the new traffic pattern on May 29, with intermittent closures possible next week to complete parking space striping."

Good. On the outrageous Belle Isle redevelopment proposal for high-income housing and restaurants:
"“This proposal is not something the Michigan DNR has been involved in and it’s not something the state is considering."
-
No.
They polled 197 Detroit residents about Detroit's Belle Isle State Park, but over 600 Michigan residents?
Guess who commissioned the poll? The developers.
"Under the proposal, investors would make a one-time $1 billion payment to the city in exchange for a long-term lease, and Detroit would receive an additional $50 million annually."
Sounds to me the proposal is for a bunch of greedy developers to take over Belle Isle State Park.
