Originally they wanted Rex Harrison & Lilli Palmer and later Cary Grant and Grace Kelly to star in this but those plans all fell through. This was Jimmy Stewart’s final role as a romantic lead-Kim Novak considered him to be her favorite leading man

Really big of him to be cool with using magic to solve his magical problem

Magic has nothing on good old fashioned denial

@LilyDoe @MatthewTitus88 idk why people go skating at the mall.. there’s always a ton of people watching just to see if anyone falls/hurts themselves. I can’t imagine not dying of embarrassment if I had a a food court of people watching me fall
#MusComEnt #BellBookAndCandle

@MatthewTitus88 We have a year round ice skating rink at the big Galleria mall downtown..

You’d think witches would have better means than a landline for communication but I guess not

“Do you know anything about [witchcraft]?”
“I’m under a love spell from a witch but also, no”

I have like 10 records/album bundles waiting for me at home and I’m trying very hard not to listen to the albums digitally on YouTube/YouTube music* before then (*I have listened to the Daniel Johns “FutureNever” album b/c I order that bundle over a year ago and it barely arrived a week after my birthday lol)

Some people just can’t handle table-side Jazz

Witches, cats, performance art and* Jazz… it’d be more of a surprise if I didn’t love this film

My mother has a PhD in anthropology and loves cats.. but as far as I know she’s not a witch👀

I love how this film is just the right amounts of weird & witchy and RomCom

The star of #AlfredHitchcock's #VERTIGO & #JoshuaLogan's #Oscar-nominated #PICNIC is turning 90 today.

A couple more #movies:

She also did great work in the first half of #RichardQuine's #BellBookAndCandle, as a #NewYork witch seducing #JamesStewart.

And she's very funny in #MarkRobson's #PHFFFT, opposite #JackLemmon.
