Hey lefties, what pens do you like?

I've settled on Pentel MR205 "Document Pen" for the past few years, but it's not as smooth as I'd like.

Unsurprisingly my daughter DID want one too, so she helped me do the prep to make another #BelieveInPens DIY pen roll for her. I even remembered to sew in a tag, which I hardly ever remember. I didn’t adjust the dimensions, because her pens and pencils are all longer than my fountain pens!! #sewist #makethings #ramen #mediocresewing #penburrito

@aghalides absolutely! Key things I’ll change: 1. I knew I should add some interfacing to give it some more thickness, but I didn’t because the pattern I was cribbing from didn’t. But i will next time. 2. Dimensions: you can see it’s too tall and the pen slots are generally too generous, so I’ll make both dimensions smaller. #BelieveInPens #MakeThings

I got out all my fountain pens recently and realized I didn’t have any good way to store them. So this evening I whipped up a new DIY roll-up case for some of the everyday-writing pens to live in. I sort of followed a pattern I found online and sort of winged it. Came out ok and didn’t take long. Probably have to make another tomorrow night, though, as I’m sure my daughter is really going to want one when she sees this! 😅 #BelieveInPens #latenightsewing #sewist #sewingproject #fountainpens
