@fribbledom if you want a moment of peace and quiet, while still in the middle of the bustling city, visit the #Begijnhof. As soon as you close the big gate door behind you, most of the city sounds are silenced, which is a wonderful experience imho. :) It's in between #DamSquare and the #Bloemenmarkt (flower market).
If you want some good and affordable food, I can recommend #BekeerdeSuster (which also has a large selection of beers) and #Carels3.
