OMG! Finally! A Beirut song that just sounds right again. ❤️ The last two or so albums they brought out just didn’t *feel right* to me but I just listened to “So Many Plans”, and the song really sounds like Beirut again. I have big hopes for the album.
And for the record, their changing sound isn’t my issue at all — Beirut have always changed their sound, but they’ve also always felt like Beirut to me. “No No No” and mostly also “Gallipolli” just felt off, that’s the only way I can explain it.
