Unfortunately, #BicycleCulture folks are very #ableist & I've yet to see any of them provide adaptive accessible transport options for #disabled or #MobilityChallenged folks in their #UrbanPlanning or any actual #transportation #infrastructure plans.
What about us - disabled folks? Where do we fit into your bicycles city plans?

Today I got to sit in at my kids' school assembly. Each week teachers recognize kids who have shown exemplary behavior, and this week one of the teachers recognized my daughter and her best friend for befriending a neuro diverse student who normally sits alone at lunch; talking to/playing with him and making him feel included. The teacher explained her younger brother is neuro diverse and always sat alone at school growing up, so it really impacted her to see my daughter and her friend make the choice to include this boy without any prompting. The teacher was emotional and the whole thing made me tear up and feel like my heart was going to explode. <3
