At the end of last month we headed up to the #PublicCoastFarm in Banks, Oregon, to visit the first Blueberry Jams event hosted by #PublicCoastBrewing, featuring live reggae music, U-pick blueberries, and plenty of Public Coast #beer. We’d never visited the Farm before, but during the summer months it opens up for self-serve berry picking, farmstand produce sales, and beer.

The second annual all-inclusive beverage fest Bend Brews & Beyond is slated to return to Bend on Saturday, May 23, featuring beers, ciders, and meads, of course, but also a wide variety of non-alcoholic beverages. This year’s edition of the event takes place on only one day instead of two while adding some new features.

Flannel is iconic here in the Pacific Northwest, particularly in winter and among #beer brewers, so naturally there’s a #BeerFest that celebrates it. The 4th annual #FlannelFest returns to Bend this month, celebrating winter warmer style beers with an overall theme embracing the popular fabric.

Here’s a fun two week long event returning to #Portland this Friday, November 28: the #PortlandHolidayAleTrail and the 12 Beers of Gristmas, hosted by 12 Portland craft breweries, wherein you visit each brewery to collect passport stamps for a chance to win fun prizes (and also drink some good beer).

#Oktoberfest officially runs from September 20 through October 5 this year, and if you can’t make it to Munich for the full celebration, you can celebrate in downtown Portland, Oregon, at The Hotel Zags and PLS on Sixth which have partnered with sponsor Weihenstephaner (aka the world’s oldest brewery) for an authentic seasonal feel.

The annual Baker’s Dozen Coffee Beer & Doughnut Fest returns for its ninth outing this month, featuring 13 breweries, 13 coffee roasters, and 13 bakers teaming up to present coffee beers and doughnut pairings for a specialty, breakfasty #brewfest experience. Portland’s #HorseBrassPub is hosting a new brewfest this weekend, inspired by the Horse Brass’ late founder Don Younger (the “Old Tavern Rat”) and #barleywine of the same name brewed in his honor: the Old Tavern Rat Barleywine Invitational Brewfest.

The 12th annual High Gravity #Brewfest is returning for another year of big beers, taking place at the #McMenamins Old St. Francis School in #BendOregon on Saturday, February 8. This fest features a variety of strong beers and ciders, perfectly suited for the winter months, from a number of McMenamins breweries (including several collaborations from OSF and Bend-area breweries) and others.

Last weekend in Seattle (October 4 and 5), the #GreatPumpkinBeerFestival returned for its 20th edition. We last attended this long-running event from #ElysianBrewing way back in 2014, for its tenth anniversary, so when the opportunity came to attend the 20th this year, we decided to go.

Hard to believe it’s been two decades, but #ElysianBrewing’s Great Pumpkin Beer Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The two day celebration returns to the Seattle Center on Friday and Saturday, October 4 and 5.

#McMenamins is debuting a new beer festival this Saturday, June 8, taking place at the Gearhart Hotel in Gearhart—the GoonFest #Brewfest. Because Gearhart is close to Astoria, setting and filming location of the movie The Goonies, it’s a Goonies-themed brewfest, of course!

There are two upcoming #beer events from #GrandCraftBeer to check out, taking place in #BendOregon and #PortlandOregon. The first is The World On Tap, which celebrates “worldwide beer styles” on Saturday, April 6 at the On Tap food cart lot and taphouse in Bend; look for beer styles such as Japanese rice lager, German hefeweizen, and others at this a la carte event.

This past weekend we attended the #ilaniBrewFest in Ridgefield, Washington. Ilani is a casino resort located on the #CowlitzIndianTribe Reservation, and we stayed on premise in the hotel for the weekend's events; here's my writeup on the overall resort (beer notes coming later).

The #BendBrewfest is back for 2024, and this year it’s returning to the Hayden Homes Amphitheater in #BendOregon on October 3-5. The Brewfest is still accepting brewery applications through March 15, so if you're a brewery that would be interested in pouring at the event this year, be sure to apply!

This #PresidentsDay weekend, the #ilaniBrewFest returns to the ilani Casino Resort in Ridgefield, Washington. While the core of the event is a #BeerFestival, it’s also built around food and celebrity chefs and features additional dinners and tasting events throughout the weekend.
