I did a quick product review of some facial cleansing pads that I had purchased by Desert Essence.
Trying to maintain personal hygiene while bedridden w/o in-person support, is a challenge.
Facial wipes help to keep part of my body clean.

I’ve been pretty #sick twice in the last 12 days.
For a couple of those days I was #bedridden.
I got to thinking about it. I’m on new meds for my severe #arthritis…
I did a google search for my meds along with the term “side effects”.
It listed something like 10 side effects.
When I’ve been sick I’ve had something like 6 of them!
Another side effect is “ringing in the ears” - I have tinnitus, so if I have that, I’m not noticing any difference to the normal ringing.
Hmmmm.

My new #EmotionalSupportBunny is warm and sweet but also rebellious - we can't free roam him the way we did with Dalilah
This makes the days I have been #BedRidden from emotional exhaustion and #ChronicPain and fatigue feel so much worse
My #CPTSD makes these aspects of my physical health worse when I can't keep my family housed and safe and fed
I can't afford to risk getting hospitalized to push my body and mind beyond their limits because my #elderly mother relies on me daily

@tomkindlon @mecfs Being #bedridden does not preclude the possibility of #WFH, if such is available. However, the #cognitive effects of #SevereME make any kind of work impossible. Personally, most of the time, I cannæ recall to eat, drink, take meds, wash, etc. without being prompted.

This was a day I was #bedridden (like the vast majority of my days). #Stress (I suffer from #SocialAnxiety, general #anxiety & resultant #PanicAttacks) placed me in the fat-burning zone for nearly 10.5 hours. And this, whilst not occurring every single day, is the dominant feature of my Fitbit reports. No #AntiAnxiety meds for nearly 5 months.
No #medications No #SocialCare Minimal #FoodAndWater No #HygieneSupport No help with #Dressing etc.

Over the past few days I went 26 hours without a meal, at which point ex-boyf stepped in, came over and cooked some pasta. Then another 49 hours without a meal. In the past 13 weeks I have averaged exactly one day/week with no food. I ate 1 meal per day on average. #SocialCareCrisis #pwME #bedridden #SevereME #Malnutrition #BloodSugar #Dehydration

Final two dating-apps deleted. My dating-life is officially ended, although it de facto ended a couple of years back when my health deteriorated under the ‘care’ of #TraffordCouncil due to their failures to ensure I was fed & hydrated properly, becoming mostly #bedridden. #SocialCare #SocialCareCrisis

Knuckle (ring finger mcp) I accidentally hit 7 1/2 weeks ago still agonisingly painful if moved wrong - fine for most movements but there are a few that cause sudden 8/10 pain. Not good
Aside from talking to my physio some more which is scheduled, I can’t figure out anything else I can do that’s actually #accessible… it isn’t bad enough to risk disability progression by going for a scan
It’s things like this where the medical system just totally fails #bedridden people :(

Spent an hour in kitchen then crawled up the stairs to first-floor sitting-room. Forty-five mins. in recliner. Then crawled up next flight to my bed-cell. Stuffed & happy! #SocialCareCrisis

@kfarinsky As a severely #disabled & #ChronicallyIll #bedridden person, with poor #homeostasis, and catches bugs rather easily, I cannæ afford to take the risk. Additionally, my GP took a year or so to decide I could have a vaccination and which one, but then failed to give any follow-up jabs. I have to protect myself as best I can, not just from #Covid19.

@goodlawproject I am severely #disabled & #ChronicallyIll resulting in my being #bedridden c.99% of the time. For myself #parks are of no use, unless they contain planting that encourages insects or trees to clean the #air - not all do! However, children need somewhere to #play, to run about, etc. Even expensive #MiddleClass homes are constructed with tiny #gardens. Most children need #OpenSpaces. I am a retired reception-teacher (Kindergarten).

@mister_goldfish Not well. Still sporadically attempting to obtain appropriate #SocialCare from #Trafford Council. Mostly rec’g a snack at 16.00 & dinner c.20.00, but #Carers mostly forget #hygiene, #dressing, and so on. With my #memory issues I rarely recall to do things myself, and even if I do, being #bedridden means I cannæ do things w/o carer-support. Enough about me. How are Mrs. Goldfish & yourself doing? 💙
