I've found that it's not always easy to use generative artificial intelligence to create art in the form of animals or people. They often wind up with extra limbs or fingers, so I have to add in "negative prompts" to help reduce that problem. This wolf turned out very well, and I love the intricate detail of his eyes and his expressive face.

This creation combines two things that I love in art -- a moody street scene and impressionism. I created this in the style of the Impressionist greats - Manet, Monet and Renoir

The clouds were so low in the sky, I felt like I could reach up and touch them. It was surreal to be at an elevation of 2,300 feet and not be able to see where the land meets the sky on the horizon. I was on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia on a spring day in May.

Rain was expected later in the day, so I made sure I got up to the Blue Ridge Parkway in the morning. Perfect timing! The wind was blowing the clouds around the mountains and valleys and the light and shadows were changing rapidly.

This was my first shot of the morning. The clouds on the mountaintops appear to be snow and the sun highlights their beauty!

Believe it or not, but this is the gazebo that was featured in the 1987 movie Dirty Dancing! The gazebo is located at the Mountain Lake Resort in Pembroke, Virginia. The lake has been dry for several years. But look how beautiful it is, surrounded by the fall colors!

Missing my home state of Michigan these days. I made 3 roundtrip road trips to and from Michigan in 2022, driving over the Mackinac Bridge each time. Using my dashboard mount for my iPhone14 and hands-free voice commands to get the shots, I got some fantastic shots while crossing. I'm approaching the first tower and you can see the second tower up ahead.

The length of the main span (between the 2 main towers) of this suspension bridge is 3,800 feet (1,158 meters).

I created this for a black ink drawing challenge on Night Café. It took a couple tries to get it right (what I was imagining). I'm naturally drawn to night images with my photography, but by using AI Art, I can create what I could never legitimately photograph - a fantastical creation with multiple moons and planets in the sky. And a giant luminous moon that creates a brilliant source of light on a dark ocean landscape.

The Lower Falls at Tahquamenon Falls State Park, located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The brown color in the water is tannin. It is leached from the cedar swamps that the Tahquamenon River flows through.

There can be more to creating AI art than entering a detailed description and types of art styles or descriptors. I've found that you can create an excellent image with a phrase, followed by the names of some artists that might fit the art style you're looking for, then some descriptors. This image's starting point was the quote from Aliens about how "they mostly come out at night". Not using the word "alien" in my description yielded a very different result as the AI engine was evaluating the quote itself and incorporating the artist names I included and the other modifiers like "concept art and fantastical"

Using artificial intelligence, I wanted to apply a wet wash application to a photo illustration, making the image appear even more fantastical. I provided a detailed description of what I wanted to see and I invoked the names of several of my favorite (and very different!) artists such as Tanaka Atsuko, Dan Mumford and Winslow Homer. The result was astounding.

I needed to create some art that was both bright and dark at the same time to offset our hit or miss sunny weather this weekend. I created this AI image in Night Café using different contrasting colors and different art styles. Some of the descriptors to make this unique were blue starry landscape, futurism art, gouache and yellow contrast.

I've always loved mosaic art. It gives the image a somewhat 3D textured appearance. I created Brooklyn Bridge Mosaic using Night Café and some of the prompts included mosaic and mysterious.

I created Pop-Up Palace using Night Café SDXL 1.0. Some of the prompts include paper crafts, pop-up book, and unreal engine. It's amazing to me to be able to create an image, a work of art, using my descriptive words in a way that the AI models can understand to produce the desired result.

This gently winding road in Gills Rock in Door County, Wisconsin is perfect for a Sunday drive. The Milwaukee Art Museum is an iconic structure on Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The iconic addition was completed in 2001 and was designed by Santiago Calatrava. The Burke Brise Soleil "wings" forms a moveable sunscreen and will close automatically if winds exceed 23 mph for more than 3 minutes. I was thrilled to see the wings were open when I visited after dark. The museum is reflected in the art museum's fountain pond.

Siberian Tiger - AI digital art -- A couple days ago on Night Café, there was a daily challenge where the theme was "snowy portrait". I got to thinking about how I've never had the chance to photograph a giant Siberian Tiger in a snowstorm, so that is what I created with AI, providing a VERY detailed description and some modifiers like hyperdetailed and fantastical. Though I didn't place in the challenge, I was happy with my creation.

Re-sharing this photograph of my Dad - today is his 90th birthday! He's been a wonderful role model for me over the years and we're blessed to be celebrating his birthday!

We were waiting for the sun to go down at Sunset Point at Presque Isle Park in Marquette, Michigan. I was happy to have this lone silhouette in the shot. Unlike the other people there, he was obviously stopping to appreciate the beauty of the moment.
