Rewinding and save scumming my way through Rival Turf in this new day of my Retromay challenge.
I really enjoy the mood this game has. Very typical America and South America through the lense of popculture consumed by Japanese gamedevs in the 90's. This already had a huge effect on me as a teen and it's still very present today.
What I don't like is that this game straight up cheats. Enemies become invulnerable randomly and it makes the game unnecessarily harder.
Still, will make my way through it in the next days. And maybe even the sequels.

Enemy waves, AI behavior and score item have been added.
I wanted to only update once I had something to show, but kinda ended up adding a lot anyway.
This project has been very ambitious since I never made an action melee focused game before. It might not be exactly a beat 'em 'up like I planed to, but it still has potential.
My next priority is adding more graphics, adding score saving, polishing the UI, and additional gameplay balance. -
