I REALLY hate to agree with Zionists, but Bear Grylls is wrong. The Virgin Mary was Jewish, and not Palestinian. Mary and Joseph were born and lived in Nazareth, in what was then the Kingdom of Judah, a nominally independent puppet kingdom of the Roman Empire. They may possibly have visited Bethlehem while Mary was pregnant, but that might just be a later interpolation to link Jesus to Isaiah.
