A satellite map shows that the widest #beaches are on north-facing stretches of shore: those are in a position to catch the sediments that come with the along-shore current.
Also: the along-shore current giveth, and the along-shore current taketh away from other places. In those latter places, #BeachReplenishment merely serves to replenish some other beach downstream.
