  1. Part of the old #Namgis #BurialGrounds - there's a new one, in different area of island. When the memorial totems fall down, they're left there because BC coastal #FirstNations believe it's part of the natural cycle of returning ancestors to their lands; post physical deaths.

  2. #AlertBayShipyards now #abandoned & #decaying - it's falling into the ocean, slowly. #Panorama shot of part of the old #shipyard & a sketchy, wobbly & crooked boardwalk to dock w/abandoned building that nature is reclaiming back. Lots of moss, plants & baby trees are growing all over it.

  3. There's fir & cedar #trees - #growing out of the decaying old #dock #wood - which used to be a loading area for long abandoned fish saltery/cannery/fish nets sorting station. #Nature is incredibly #resilient & if left alone, it will #reclaim anything man has built.

  4. The abandoned Mac & Neill fish saltery/cannery & then native fishing nets sorting station. It's falling apart slowly. I got some more images of it today, while walking the oceanfront boardwalk.
